This may not surprise you but Lady Gaga meditates. She recently said this in an interview: “Meditation helps me to calm down. I don’t have the same kind of issues that you have, but I have a mental illness [PTSD] and I struggle with that every day, so I need my mantra to keep me relaxed.”

Throughout history, people have enjoyed the benefits of meditation. Whether it is a great scientist, business leader or a singer, the effects of meditation are amazing. Our bodies need restorative experiences such as regular meditation to function at their best. You can relax, clear your mind, take a deep breath, and get back to your center by practicing meditation each week.

Meditation is easy to do. Simply find a quiet spot. Put on some comfortable clothes that fit loosely. You may want some peaceful music, candles or incense in your meditation space. Take time each day for this. It doesn’t have to be long. Just ten minutes a day can help so much. Read about the various types of meditation and try several until you find something that truly helps you. Now you’re on the road to a more peaceful existence.
